• High School Desert Learning Academy Tiered Reengagement

    When families become a part of Desert Learning Academy they choose to become a part of a learning community that participates fully and supports one another. The choice to join means you agree to ……….

    1. 100% Attendance (Work Completion)
      a. Edgenuity Calendar Blue or Green by Friday 2pm
      b. Work completed in all on campus and Zoom sessions
      c.       PE logs turned in by 2pm Fridays

    2. 70% Academic Mastery
      a. All students must maintain minimum of C- grades in all courses 

    3. Full Participation
      a.       Attend Weekly ELA, Math and ELD classes required on campus and/or on Zoom
      b. Attend one weekly Learning Coach meeting on Zoom or on campus 

    The staff of DLA agree to provide a level of support that will ensure the highest level of success for students. The following Tier Support and Engagement systems holds us accountable to help students learn. This system also holds students and families accountable to be engaged in this learning process as well. Students are required to complete work daily, attend support appointments and give 100%. Families are required to support their students through emotional encouragement, accountability, and engaging with DLA educators.

    • Weekly Zoom or On Campus Direct Instruction classes in Math, English plus 1-2 intervention Zooms
    • Weekly Zoom or On Campus Direct Instruction classes in Math, English plus 1-2 intervention Zooms
    • Weekly on campus Direct Instruction classes 1 hr in ELA and Math (after week 4)

    • Edgenuity Courses are Complete/ Blue or Green every Friday 2pm
    • Edgenuity Courses are Complete/ Blue or Green 80% of the time by Friday 2pm
    • Edgenuity Courses are Complete/ Blue or Green 80% or less in 2 report periods

    *Students who have been provided 4 weeks of Tier 3 Attendance  Intervention Support and there is no improvement….
    • 100% of Work in ELA and Math Direct Instruction completed
    • 80% of Work in ELA and Math Direct Instruction completed
    • Less than 80% of Work in ELA and Math Direct Instruction on campus and Zoom Classes is complete in two report periods

    • Edgenuity Reading Assessment score of 50 or above
    • Edgenuity Reading Assessment score of 40-49 or above
    • Edgenuity Reading Assessment score below 40

    • Current Synergy Grades of C’s  or better
