Trustee Area Elections
In accordance with the California Voting Rights Act (CVRA), Palm Springs Unified School District Board of Education members are elected by trustee areas with residents in the trustee area boundaries voting in the election for their representative trustee. All PSUSD trustees represent the district as a whole regardless of their elected trustee area. Board of Education terms are for four years.

- This scenario results in one school being removed from Trustee Area 5 and added to Trustee Area 1
- Based on CVAP data, there is one majority Hispanic Area (Trustee Area 2). This scenario preserves that majority but decreases the percentage slightly from 54.3% to 52.9%. The percentage also is decreased in Trustee Area 5 from 40.2% to 37.5%
- The overall variance is decreased from 21.8% to 4.8%
