The Arts Institute at Palm Springs High School is a model arts education program offering creative high school students enhanced experiences for artistic growth. They will attain a solid foundation in the performing, visual and related arts through an arts-infused core curriculum that will lead to personal fulfillment, employment opportunities and preparation for the advanced education and/or arts careers.
The Arts Institute recognizes individual talents and abilities which will be developed as students strive toward their personal, education and career objectives.
Arts Institute core academic classes associated with this Career Pathway include:Grade 9: Arts English I CP/Honors & Arts Biology CP/Honors
Grade 10: Arts English II CP/Honors, Arts World History or AP European History
Grade 11: Arts and Cultures, Arts English III CP/AP, Arts US History or AP American History
Grade 12: Senior Arts Seminar Honors Arts Physics is also available as an elective. Successful completion of Arts and Cultures and Senior Arts Seminar render a seal on the diploma, a graduation stole, and eligibility for the Arts Institute Scholarship.
