Common Core State Standards
In 2010, California adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). These are a set of common standards in English and Math that have been adopted by numerous states across the United States in an effort to ensure students access the same educational standards if they change schools or move to a different state.
Depending on the special education program in which a student with disabilities participates, he or she may access the Common Core State Standards utilizing a modified general education curriculum.
