District Arts Office in collaboration with We3 Productions - West African Dance Ensemble 2021 - 2022

The UEIE is led by Makeda Kumasi, and the group has performed with and is affiliated with The Palm Springs International Dance Festival (Nickerson-Rossi Dance).“The Umoja Ensemble of the Inland Empire (UEIE) is a performance ensemble with a mission to help restore, repair and regenerate the physical, psychological and spiritual health of our community.” This is goes hand-in-hand with the district’s Arts Department goal of spreading a positive message of diversity and tolerance and positively impact social emotional learning; which are in line with the district’s Antiracist Coalition’s Goals.
